Terms of Service – FrameVerk

Last Updated: May 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FrameVerk, including the website frameverk.com, the web application, project workspace, design tools, content, documentation, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, saving a project, or using any output generated by FrameVerk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are intended to protect both users and FrameVerk. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age required by your jurisdiction, to use FrameVerk.
  • You must have legal authority to accept these Terms for yourself or for the company, organization, or project team you represent.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your use of FrameVerk complies with laws, regulations, contracts, permits, professional obligations, and project requirements that apply to you.

2. Service Description

FrameVerk is a browser-based timber frame planning and design workflow. Depending on the features available to your account, it may help you:

  • create, edit, save, clone, and manage timber frame projects;
  • model bases, plates, walls, posts, openings, floor systems, sheathing, and roof framing;
  • generate or edit supported roof framing workflows;
  • view 3D and 2D details, material summaries, lumber quantities, and cut-list style output;
  • use project-management, sharing, viewing, or collaboration features when available.

The Service is continuously evolving. Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time.

3. No Professional Advice or Certification

FrameVerk is software. It is not a licensed engineer, architect, contractor, building official, permit authority, inspector, manufacturer, fabricator, or legal advisor.

  • FrameVerk does not provide structural engineering, architectural certification, building-code approval, permit approval, construction supervision, legal advice, safety certification, or professional sign-off.
  • Outputs generated by FrameVerk are planning, design-assistance, visualization, estimation, or workflow outputs only.
  • You must obtain all required professional reviews, engineering checks, code reviews, permits, inspections, approvals, and site-specific verifications before relying on any output for procurement, fabrication, construction, safety, or compliance.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether any design, dimension, material, cut, quantity, roof geometry, structural layout, or project output is correct and suitable for your intended use.

4. Support, Training, Examples, and Recommendations

Any support, training, tutorial, template, example project, documentation, recommendation, demonstration, troubleshooting response, or other communication from FrameVerk is provided for general informational and illustrative purposes only.

Such information is not project-specific professional advice, is not a technical or structural approval, and must not be treated as a substitute for your own independent review or for qualified professional review.

5. User Responsibility for Designs and Construction

You are responsible for all projects, inputs, assumptions, site conditions, design decisions, construction decisions, exports, materials, quantities, drawings, cut lists, and other outputs you create, modify, share, download, or use through FrameVerk.

  • You must independently verify all dimensions, quantities, member sizes, loads, connections, spans, cuts, angles, roof geometry, tolerances, and construction details.
  • You must not rely on FrameVerk as the only source of truth for real-world fabrication, procurement, or construction.
  • You assume all risk arising from your use, misuse, interpretation, or implementation of any FrameVerk output.

6. User Accounts and Authorized Users

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • provide accurate and current account information;
  • keep login credentials confidential and secure;
  • not share, sell, transfer, or misuse your account;
  • notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether or not authorized by you, except where applicable law says otherwise.

If you invite, authorize, or manage other users under a team, company, client, or project account, you are responsible for those authorized users, their permissions, and their compliance with these Terms.

7. User Content and Project Data

You retain ownership of project data and content that you create, upload, or save through FrameVerk, including project names, models, drawings, layouts, notes, images, and related design data ("User Content").

You grant FrameVerk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, copy, display, transmit, back up, and technically modify User Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, maintain, improve, and provide the Service.

You represent that you have all rights needed to upload and use your User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.

8. Feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, comments, or other feedback, you grant FrameVerk a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, commercialize, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

9. Sharing, Viewing, and Collaboration

If FrameVerk provides sharing, view-only access, collaboration, invite, public link, or project-transfer features, you are responsible for how you use them.

  • Only share projects with people who are authorized to access them.
  • Review permissions before sharing project links or inviting users.
  • FrameVerk is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by your sharing choices, weak credentials, forwarded links, or permissions you grant.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for unlawful, unsafe, misleading, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload, scan, scrape, attack, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass security or access controls;
  • upload malware, harmful code, infringing content, illegal content, or data you do not have permission to use;
  • misrepresent outputs as certified, stamped, code-approved, professionally reviewed, or guaranteed by FrameVerk;
  • resell, sublicense, copy, or provide competing access to the Service without written permission.

11. High-Risk Use

You must not use FrameVerk as the sole or controlling system for high-risk activities where failure, error, delay, or incorrect output could lead to death, personal injury, severe property damage, environmental damage, critical infrastructure failure, or major economic loss.

Any use connected to structural safety, life safety, public safety, regulated construction, critical infrastructure, or professional fabrication must include independent controls, professional review, and project-specific verification outside FrameVerk.

12. Export, Sanctions, and Legal Compliance

You may not use, export, re-export, provide access to, or transfer the Service or any output in violation of applicable export-control, sanctions, trade-control, anti-corruption, procurement, construction, safety, privacy, or professional licensing laws. You are responsible for determining whether such laws apply to your use.

13. Subscriptions, Payments, Trials, and Refunds

FrameVerk may offer free, trial, beta, founder, paid, subscription, or team plans. If paid plans are available:

  • prices, billing periods, renewal terms, and plan features will be shown at checkout or in the account area;
  • payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe;
  • taxes, currency conversion, and payment-provider fees may apply;
  • access to paid features may be paused, downgraded, or terminated if payment fails.

Unless required by law or expressly stated in writing, payments are non-refundable and subscriptions renew until cancelled.

14. Beta, Experimental, and Launch Features

Some features may be marked or treated as beta, early access, experimental, founder access, preview, or launch features. Such features may contain errors, change quickly, produce incomplete output, or be removed.

You use beta and experimental features at your own risk and must verify all outputs before relying on them.

15. Intellectual Property

FrameVerk and its software, interface, visual design, brand, trademarks, code, algorithms, models, workflows, documentation, and related materials are owned by FrameVerk or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, you receive no ownership interest in FrameVerk or its intellectual property.

16. Availability, Data, Backups, and Inactive Accounts

We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that FrameVerk will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

  • Features may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, upgrades, or third-party outages.
  • Project data may be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable despite reasonable safeguards.
  • You are responsible for keeping independent copies or records of critical project information where appropriate.
  • Free, trial, beta, inactive, cancelled, or unpaid accounts and their projects may be limited, archived, or deleted after notice where reasonably practical.

17. Monitoring and Enforcement

We may monitor, investigate, log, restrict, suspend, or disable access to the Service, accounts, projects, links, content, or features where we believe it is reasonably necessary for security, support, legal compliance, abuse prevention, enforcement of these Terms, system integrity, or protection of FrameVerk, users, or third parties.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrameVerk is provided "AS IS", "AS AVAILABLE", and "WITH ALL FAULTS", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, security, data retention, professional suitability, code compliance, structural correctness, construction suitability, and error-free calculations.

No information, support message, documentation, marketing material, example, output, or communication from FrameVerk creates any warranty unless expressly stated in a written agreement signed by FrameVerk.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrameVerk and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data, project opportunity, materials, construction cost, or production time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrameVerk will not be liable for claims arising from:

  • project errors, design errors, dimension errors, quantity errors, or cut-list errors;
  • construction, fabrication, procurement, installation, inspection, permit, safety, or code-compliance issues;
  • your reliance on, modification of, or implementation of any Service output;
  • third-party services, hosting, payment processors, analytics, email providers, databases, or infrastructure;
  • unauthorized access, data loss, downtime, bugs, security incidents, or interrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrameVerk's total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to FrameVerk for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

20. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FrameVerk and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

  • your use or misuse of the Service;
  • your projects, User Content, designs, construction decisions, materials, fabrication, or site work;
  • your reliance on or implementation of any output from FrameVerk;
  • your violation of these Terms, law, regulations, permits, professional duties, third-party rights, or safety requirements;
  • claims brought by clients, contractors, subcontractors, owners, project partners, inspectors, authorities, or other third parties connected to your project.

21. Release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release FrameVerk from claims, demands, and damages arising out of disputes between you and third parties, including clients, collaborators, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, authorities, or other project participants.

22. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate your account or access to the Service if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for FrameVerk or others, failed to pay, abused the Service, or if continued access could create legal, security, operational, or reputational risk.

You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time, subject to retention obligations and backup limitations described in the Privacy Policy.

23. Governing Law and Disputes

Unless mandatory consumer-protection law says otherwise, these Terms and any dispute relating to the Service are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Unless mandatory law requires another forum, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Romania. You and FrameVerk agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting support@frameverk.com.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify you by email, in-app notice, or website notice. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

25. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout or in your account, form the entire agreement between you and FrameVerk regarding the Service.
