How FrameVerk works

Four simple steps, one project.

Design the frame, add the roof, check the timber and cost, then share the latest version—without switching between apps.

01

Design the frame

Start with the building shape, then add the main timber parts.

  • Walls, doors and windows, floors, posts and beams
  • Switch between the floor plan and 3D view anytime

02

Add the roof

Choose the roof shape and main measurements. FrameVerk lays out the pieces.

  • Set the slope, direction, spacing and overhang
  • See the roof structure in 3D before moving on

03

See what timber you need

Get a clear list of pieces, sizes and cuts, then add your timber prices.

  • Quantities, sizes, lengths and required cuts
  • Choose the timber lengths you buy and allow for saw cuts and waste
  • See how much timber to buy and the estimated cost

04

Share or print

Let someone review the latest 3D project or take the timber list with you.

  • Send a view-only 3D link—no account needed
  • Let others inspect the shared model; turn off the link anytime
  • Download a spreadsheet or print the cut list as a PDF

Also included: metric and imperial units, online saves, project copies and earlier versions. Sun Study shows sunlight and shadows for the date and time you choose.

Solutions

Start with the result you need

Start with the model if you need a material list. Use the free calculators if you already have quantities.

Calculate timber volume, weight and cost

Enter dimensions or a known volume. For example, 20 pieces of 50 × 150 mm timber at 3.6 m give 0.54 m³.

Calculate A1–A3 embodied carbon

Enter a material inventory. The result shows product-stage emissions, with the factor sources and calculation limits.

Built for

For people planning a real timber-frame build.

Timber-frame builders

Design the frame, review the roof and prepare the timber information without rebuilding the same job in several tools.

Designers and project teams

Keep design choices, measurements, timber and costs in one project as the design changes.

Serious owner-builders

See the building in 2D and 3D, understand the timber needed and make better-informed choices before work starts.
